Does acupuncture hurt?
The sensations that patients experience during acupuncture range from nothing at all to a brief ache or heaviness in the area being needled. Some points are more sensitive than others. By and large patients describe the sensations as fleeting and the treatment experience as deeply relaxing.

Many patients begin acupuncture treatment to find relief from a wide range of physical conditions. Many who are not experiencing ailments also seek treatment to reduce stress and prevent disease.
Are the needles safe?
Yes. Sterile disposable needles are used. They are used once and then disposed of immediately.
Is there anything on the needles?
No, needles are made from stainless steel. There is no medicine coated on it.
How long is the treatment?
Treatment usually lasts between 30 minutes to 45 minutes. The initial consultation lasts about one to one and half hour.
How frequently do I need to come to benefit from treatment?
The frequency of treatments varies with each individual. It depends on how long you’ve had the condition, how severe and how well you respond to acupuncture. This is usually discussed at your initial consultation.
How long do I need to come for treatment?
It depends on the individual cases, some patients may only need one treatment while others may need months of care. Your progress will be reviewed at each acupuncture session.
How do I get the most out of each treatment?
Avoid caffeine in coffee, tea, or sodas during the day of treatment. Avoid intense physical activity before or after your scheduled treatment. Drink plenty of water after your treatment.
